POLYPROPYLENE (PP) CONSTRUCTION FIBRES - 50mm Length

APPLICATION

These are Polypropylene (PP) macro fibers of 48mm - 50mm in length for reinforcement in concrete. The long length of the fiber holds different components of concrete together, thereby providing a better reinforcement thus increases the strength and properties of concrete. It has highest aspect ratio in industry. Due to fine diameter and long length, usage of this fiber results in very effective 3 dimensional network inside the concrete matrix. It is used in flooring, roads, slabs, shot-crete and other load bearing structures. A special treatment is done on the surface of fiber for better dispersion in concrete mix.

Note:Addition of fibers to a given mix may appear to decrease the slump. The workability, however, will not be affected and additional water should not be added.

It conforms to ASTM C 1116/C 1116M - 06 4.1.3 Type III & BS EN 14889-2: 2006

DOSAGE

• For Secondary Reinforcement- Above 600 gm/m³
• For Primary Reinforcement (in concrete floors/precast)- 1000 gm/m³and above.

Results improve with higher dosage of fiber. Kindly optimize the dosage depending on the requirement.

HOW TO USE?

• For Machine Mixing - Small quantity of water is dosed in empty drum to clean the drum after each batch. Add fiber in the rotating drum. Then add the chips/sand/cement/water in the concrete mixer and continue normal operation.

• For Dosing in Ready Mix Truck - Add fibers in small lots in the rotating drum. After dosing is complete allow extra 20-30 revolutions of the drum at maximum RPM.
